News Paper Nails

I have seen a few tutorials of this design and decided to give it a try. Its super easy and the best part is if you misplace the newspaper it just wipes off and you can try again.
I painted my nails grey then let them dry completely. Once they were dry I just dipped them in some water and placed the newspaper on top. Make sure its nice and wet then let it sit for a few seconds. When you peel the newspaper off there is a printed design left behind.

A few days later I was looking at my Bundle Monster plates and noticed a chandelier. I thought the grey with the letters would be a neat background for it. It turned out super cute. I would definitely do this again.

Colorful Leopard!

So here is my first official BM manicure. I am so happy with how they turned out and cant wait to do another one.
BM-221 plate, Konad stamper, and Konad special polish.

I created the background of the nail with 5 different colors. Then I stamped on the leopard print with the black special polish. I went back and filled in the holes with a silver glitter and finished with a top coat.

Bundle Monster Plates

So I have been looking at nail art online for some time now and for the life of me I could not figure out how people were able to create such uniform identical patterns. I finally came across a YouTube video that answered my question.

I always do my research before I purchase something online and this was no different. The original plates I saw were the Konad plates. When I looked them up on amazon they were close to $6 each after shipping. While on amazon I found Bundle Monsters plates. It was a set of 25 for $21.99 plus free shipping! This put them in at $0.89 each!!! I checked out the reviews and found this newer version of Bundle Monster plates were very similar to Konad. The edges were not sharp, there was a paper backing on the plate, and the cover was now blue so you remembered to peel it off before use. I can not tell you how many reviews I read saying these plates were horrible, only for the user to find out they had forgotten to remove the plastic covering.

Anyway that is enough babel about the plates, lets get to the fun part! The first day I got the plates I had to of course try them out. So i picked 5 full nail patters and decided to try out the stamping. I apologize in advance for how messy my nails are, I was so excited to stamp I was not very focused on cleaning up.
So it is a bit of a hot mess, but it was my very very first time and each one was a learning experience. My thumb and ring finger are probably the worse. On my thumb I tried to do the high heal design but for the life of me could not get it right. My favorite are the zebra and flower print. I also like the leopard a lot. There is a pattern on the purple finger believe it or not, but it is in silver and did not show up.

Here is a close up. I learned a lesson on each nail and I can not wait to become an expert at these plates.

Fishnet Nails

So I have seen a few fishnet style nails out there and decided to give it a try. I just ordered some stamp disks so this will probably be my last free hand. It was still fun to try. I did black and red, it reminds me of Moulin Rouge. I think I liked it better before the silver glitter. Oh well, live and learn.

Silver & Black Leopard Toes

So I have noticed there are a lot less toes out there then finger nails. However I love having my toes done just as cute as my nails! Not to mention you get to use your dominate hand for both feet. I had tried a Hello Kitty design a few weeks ago and lets just say I am going to leave that one to the imagination. I found a leopard print design that I thought was really cute but I did take some artistic freedom and make it my own.

So the reality of the situation is I don't have any rhinestones yet, so this was not an option to copy exactly. Plus I am not the biggest fan of the single rhinestones on each toe. I tried to mimic the big toe because that is my favorite and then decided to do a black tip french with some silver glitter underneath.

This is what I ended up with.
Overall I think it is super cute!

You can see the silver under the black a bit more here.

Close up of my favorite toe

I just used some pink glitter polish instead of the pink rhinestones. I wish I had the rhinestones for it though, I bet it would have been that much cuter! However I would probably still do something similar to what I did on the rest of my toes.

Have a wonderful day!
