Black, Grey, and White

I came across a photo of some nails that looked super cute and simple. So I decided to try them out. This is the original source photo I found at Polyvore.

I did not have a grey that dark so I tried one a little lighter and decided to add some glitter to it.

I thought the end result was neat but as soon as I chipped a corner it started to peel off in chunks. It ended up completely pealing off in just one day. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Maybe all of the layering was to thick and it never had a chance from the start.

Vintage Rose Nail Art

I have not been doing nail art for very long so I am very picky about the designs I choose. I want to make sure I have something simple enough to do with my left hand but something cute enough to make worth my time. I have spent countless hours searching nail art blogs and videos. There is one channel on YouTube that I have tried a few from and I really like. The most recent one I tried was a Vintage Rose design. I had been wanting to try it for a while but could not find a good mint color. Once I found one I had to try this tutorial by cutepolish. It is easy to follow and her voice is adorable.
Vintage Roses
This is my attempt at her tutorial and I have to say I was pleased with the results. I hope you check out her channel and experiment with some of her tutorials. Let me know how they turn out!

A few days later before I decided to remove this polish I wanted to see what it would look like with a little sparkle. I added one coat of Pinky Glitter from SinfulColors. I think it almost made it look like a glossy vintage wallpaper. I liked it better before.

About this Blog

I would hope from the title of this blog that you got the general idea of what I will be talking about.

I have a passion for animals of all kinds, so being able to work in an Animal Hospital is a blessing. However because I have the most amazing cat in the world the feline species is especially near and dear to my heart. Besides I am sure we can all agree that funny cat videos are far more entertaining the funny dog videos.
Scylla
My cats name is Scylla (Sil-la). The name is from the Homers Odyssey. If you are interested in reading about the monster Scylla check out the Wikipedia page. Its a pretty cool story.

Now for the cupcakes, I have this strange obsession with miniature things; mini cheese graders, mini scissors, mini art canvas and easels. If it is miniature I love it. I eat with children's silverware and bake mini cakes. That said cupcakes just make logical sense for me to be obsessed with.

Last but not least is my most recent interest, nail art. I have started my collection of nail polishes and other nail accessories and it is slowly but surely growing. I am sure the pros out there would consider my collection puney but I am proud of it and love adding to it.

I hope you will subscribe and enjoy the random cat posts, but most importantly watch my growth when it comes to decorating cupcakes and nail art.
